Then, make it your own by decorating the Paper-craft Masjid (We left it white with free paint for a reason ๐ง๐ปโ๐จ) and altering the software to change its behavior to function just the way you want it!
CREATIVITY & IMAGINATION
We designed this Paper-craft Masjid & the accompanying workshop to support various complexity levels of learning ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ซ & experimentation ๐งช.
It is always in our vision ๐ฏ to have a product that promotes cooperation & collaboration between adults & their teens. How sweet ๐ฅน would it be when mom & dad steal their kids' Masjid in the middle of the night ๐ด (Hopefully after they are asleep) to experiment with cutting-edge stuff & technology ๐จ๐ปโ๐ฌ!

(Beginner)
Feature rich Table Lamp
All project box kits will lead to a smart & elegant Paper Masjid table lamp. The guided workshop will guide participants to add & customize various features programmatically.
e.g. Infra-red remotely controllable light, automatic ambient light detection night light or a touch-activated music box with flashing lights.

(Intermediate)
Gesture & voice recognition Gizmo
With AI & ML(Machine learning) the talk of the town, we will take a dive into these cutting-edge technologies by experimenting with making our Masjid respond to body gestures, objects, or even our spoken words!

(Advanced)
Real life IoT application
Nothing is fancier than having your hand-made maker product function with the same standards as more prominent industry players. In our advanced workshop, we will transform our Masjid to be compatible with real world IoT standards such as Appleยฎ HomeKit or the IBM MQTT protocol.

FAQ
Why Paper-craft?
We have thought long & hard about how to turn our 3D design into a moderately sized model with rapid & low-volume conditions. Of course, there are numerous ways to accomplish that today, but turning it into a Paper-craft would make it quicker & far more economical ๐ด than other techniques, including traditional FDM 3D printing technology.
In addition to that, it would add hours ๐ฐ of fun ๐งธ folding and constructing the 3D Paper-craft model.
Why Masjid/Mosque?
The product you held in your hands is a proud product from Malaysia๐ฒ๐พ. A country regarded globally as an Islamic country. Although we Malaysian are free to profess and practice his or her religion, a Masjid ๐(Mosque in the Malay language) still holds significant meaning to all Malaysian.
Be it a neighborhood Masjid, or an iconic architectural symbol of the state.
Thus it would seem fitting for our first project kit in this art & craft series to showcase a significant part of our Malaysian heritage. Moreover, it aptly demonstrated our strength to unite & maintain the harmonious relations between people of various ethnic backgrounds & religious beliefs ๐ฅฐ.
What is the dimension of the Paper-Craft Masjid (Mosque)?
130mm (L) x 145mm (W) x 180mm (H)
How can we power up the Paper-Craft Masjid(Mosque)๐?
All micro:bit - Any micro-USB power source, or two standard Alkaline AA batteries.
Arduino - Any USB power source (depending on your Arduino Board type).
Raspberry Pi Pico - Any micro-USB power source or three standard Alkaline AA batteries.
Do I need to prepare any tool, like glue?
No, you don't have to. We have already included everything you need in the box kit to assemble the PaperCraft Masjid (Mosque).
What is the recommended age for this PaperCraft box kit?
This box kit is suitable for 10+ years old, and 6+ years old with adult assistance.
I do not know programming. Can I still have a functional Mosque like yours without performing any coding?
Yes, if you do not want to perform any programming, choose the "Low Cost MCU Board" option during checkout. This option includes a microcontroller board which has already been pre-loaded with all the codes. You can just simply plug-and-play directly!
I do not know programming but am interested to learn. Which option should I choose?
That is great! If you are new to programming, You can choose either the micro:bit option (graphical programming through MakeCode editor), or the Arduino option (line programming through Arduino IDE). Either of these options comes with a user manual and examples that guide you through how to write the code and download it to your Mosque. In addition to that, we have online lessons, which you can sign up to learn the basics of microbit/Arduino/Circuit Python programming.
How can I decorate the Mosque?
We thoughtfully chose a thick drawing paper material for the Mosque to work well with most of the art supplies. You can unleash your creativity with any form of art supplies/glitters/stickers of your choice. Alternatively, you can also utilize the acrylic paint and calligraphy pen that we have included as a gift in this box kit to decorate the Mosque.

Acrylic Color Paint
Painted using the Acrylic paint that came with the box-kit.

Pen Artwork
If you are good with calligraphy, this could be a fancy way to go.
What other model do you have beside Mosque?
Good question! Our team is working on a few other designs at the moment; remember to check back on us for future releases. And, donโt be shy to leave us a message if there is any specific design youโd like to have in mind.
